Living in Wine Country

The beginnings of my collection. Except I'm not intending to hold on to that leaping horse Merlot...I just wanted Michael to try it. I've got much to learn about wine, but I'm on my way.

well, i haven't taste any californian wine, but spanish wines are excellents.

A suggestion: look for "Ribera del Duero" red wines ("Protos" winery for example). In my opinion they are better than "Rioja" (most famous). "Priorat" (from here where I live, Catalonia) are very demanded. I supose they will be so expensive there in de US, but they won't disappoint to you.

Hi Inocuo,
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look for them.
California is home to thousands of wineries. Hundreds of which are located within a days drive from my home. You know what they say about California...we have the best weather. Especially nice for grape growing. France is also ideal. I will get to Spain someday...and ship home some of your wines. I can't wait. Portugal is next on my list for travel.

why do you want to visit only portugal? Seize the oportunity to visit all the peninsula!!! You will not eat better in other country around the world, Spain is different!! :P

I'm ready to try the Leaping Horse! Maybe this weekend we can have it with a nice meal. Next weekend, it's Iron Stone time at the cabin :)
